Types of electricity is based on conductivity and nature of electricity according to nature there are two types of electricity viz
- Current electricity
- Static electricity
Current electricity: Electricity means charge. When the charge does not remain confined in one place, it moves one place to another place is called current electricity. We use current electricity in our house.
Static electricity: When charge does not move one place to another remains is one body this type of electricity is called static electricity.
Using static electricity we are getting many benefits now a day. We are using mobile using static electricity. When we charge our mobile, we save charge in battery which is static electricity.

If a piece of silk and a glass rod are rubbed together. Then if the rod is brought near a small piece of paper the rod attracts the paper.
In winter season similarly thing happens when hair is combed by a comb. Charges are produced in glass, ebonite and the comb. These charges cannot move one place to another remains in body. These charges are called static electricity.
When potential differences are made between two points if a copper wire connects between these two points will cause flowing of charges. The flowing charges are known as current electricity.
Static electricity mainly produces by friction of two components, so it is also called frictional electricity.
